Herb 101: Growing spring onion

Time of year: Plant your seedlings in April-ish, and harvest in 8-10 weeks.

Soil: I used bone meal and potting soil. Spring onion is best planted in soils 10-20 degrees (I didn’t measure, how does one do that?)

Tips: You can plant your seeds or seedlings close together. Spring Onions are bed-fellows with beetroot and carrots, not so much peas and beans. They thrive in a sheltered, sunny spots.
